Bluetongue leaflet
Land ManagementGovernment Office for the East Midlands in partnership with East Midlands NFU, CLA, Animal Health, EMRAF and other regional Stakeholders have produced a leaflet to raise awareness of Bluetongue Virus (BTV). The leaflet has been posted to all livestock owners in the East Midlands. A supply of leaflets has also been sent to all large animal veterinary practices in the East Midlands. The leaflet will also be sent electronically to rare breed societies to raise awareness of BTV with all "Hobby Farmers"

The NFU are producing an additional postcard mailshot re-enforcing the message to vaccinate all susceptible species. This will be posted to all livestock owners on a county by county basis as soon as the vaccine becomes available.
